Amelia Henty is the Assistant Secretary of Policy, Enablers and Partnerships in AUKUS Group, which she commenced in February 2026. In this role she leads a team to enhance engagement with Australia’s domestic and international partners and coordinate all levers of government to deliver the AUKUS enterprise as a whole of nation endeavour.
Amelia has held a range of leadership roles in the Australian Public Service working in international, economic and national security policy including at the Treasury and Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. She has led and delivered policy and reform in relation to the regulation of foreign investment, international trade, international relations and economic security. Amelia has represented Australia overseas, including on a posting to Thailand.
Amelia holds an Executive Masters of Public Administration from the Australia-New Zealand School of Government, a Masters in International Studies from the University of Sydney and a Bachelor of Arts from the Australian National University.
