Alison Frame has served as Secretary of the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) since January 2023, bringing more than 18 years’ senior leadership experience across the Commonwealth and New South Wales governments.

Before joining DVA, Alison was Deputy Secretary for Social Policy in the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet from August 2020, leading major national social policy initiatives. Her earlier NSW Government roles included Deputy Secretary positions overseeing housing, child protection, family and domestic violence, Indigenous policy and women’s policy.  

As Secretary, she has focused on improving services for veterans and their families, strengthening engagement with the veteran community, and driving reforms that have significantly reduced the claims backlog and enhanced service delivery.
