Jeff Bleich served as the 24th U.S. Ambassador to Australia (2009–2013), and his ties to Australia have continued since, including as Chair of the Board of the Centre for Democracy and Disruptive Technology at Flinders University in South Australia. Before his ambassadorship, he was Special Counsel to President Obama in the White House.
Over a legal career spanning more than 30 years, Jeff has been General Counsel at Anthropic, Chief Legal Officer of Cruise, CEO of Dentons Diplomatic Solutions, and a longtime litigation partner at Munger, Tolles & Olson. He has chaired the Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board three times and served as board chair of PG&E Corporation. He holds degrees from Amherst College, Harvard, and UC Berkeley, and clerked for U.S. Chief Justice William Rehnquist at the Supreme Court
